Dr. Dickson’s Resume

Dr. Dickson has a passionate view about naturopathic care for his patients. “ I was drawn to Naturopathic Medicine because it affirms many of my own health care values: respect for quality of life, informed choice, personal responsibility and the inter-connectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. To me Naturopathic Medicine is more than a health care system. It offers all of us the opportunity for personal growth and transformation, not merely on a physical level, but also emotionally and spiritually.”

Dr. Dickson uses a variety of integrated approaches when treating his patients such as Homeopathic Medicine which provides effective treatment for people of all ages, whether for acute illnesses like ear infections, sinusitis, cystitis, or pneumonia, or for chronic diseases such as hepatitis, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, heart disease, and cancer. When he combines homeopathy with nutritional therapy, stress management, and structural integration, the results are even more profound. Dr. Dickson has advanced training in injection therapy used to treat chronic pain from accidents, injuries, and certain diseases.

What will your visit be like?

Dr. Dickson begins most patient evaluations with a 60 minute physician consultation during which an extensive history is taken. Past medical history, family history, and all current medications and supplements are reviewed. Information is gathered about lifestyle, relationships, stress levels, current coping abilities, diet, and exercise habits. Comprehensive diagnostic testing is recommended to evaluate underlying conditions and metabolic disorders.

Guided by his patient’s needs, interests, and what is medically appropriate, he then creates an integrated individualized treatment program. Follow-up visits are used to tract and measure progress and refinements to treatment plans are made until improved health outcomes are accomplished.

Dr. Dickson is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He enjoys white water rafting, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and camping.
